wine
It all started with a 2008 Dry Creek Valley Syrah.
Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, it was a fairly common weekend activity to load up your friends into a car and pop up to Sonoma or Napa for some wine tasting. And while I was fortunate enough to sample an array of amazing wines over the years, it was that Syrah I kept coming back to. Despite being a lifelong word nerd, I didn’t have the words to describe that taste when I went to buy something in a wine shop. And so, after some gentle encouragement from friends, I signed up for my first WSET course. And from there, I was hooked.
Several years, several courses, and many, many bottles of wine later, I am a proud WSET Diploma (level 4) holder, and I’m on a mission to help others find the wines (and the words to describe them) that bring them joy. And I love the wine community we’re building along the way!
Whether you’re looking for tutoring for your next major wine exam, someone to lead a corporate wine tasting, or help identifying the right wines to build out your collection, I’m happy to help. Get in touch with any requests, or join me at my next blind tasting event.
